Free Wii game hire at Moreland libraries

Rainy day indoor games to get you off the couch

exerciseMoreland libraries have a great range of Wii games which are available to borrow for free.

Wii games are designed to get you up off your couch through the use of digital sensors that let users virtually play the game.

In Wii Sports, a game that comes with the console, users mimic the motions used in sports like bowling, tennis and baseball. In other words, the game may be virtual, but the physical exertion is very real.

A study undertaken by researchers at the University of Montreal found positive news for Wii-loving children and their parents: games such as Wii Sports and Dance Revolution can bring children closer to recommended physical activity levels.

Games are held in Glenroy Library but you can request to have them sent to any library in Moreland.
