The Welcoming and Inclusive Clubs (WIC) program was created to support the Victorian Code of Conduct for Community Sport to promote positive behaviour in local sport.
WIC works in partnership with State Sporting Associations (SSAs) and Regional Sports Assemblies (RSAs) to transform sport and recreation clubs into more inclusive spaces. It offers various training opportunities and sports specific grants to encourage sport and recreation organisations to develop policies and practices that allow a greater range of members to participate in club life.
Former Melbourne Football Club superstar and television personality Garry Lyon has recorded a series of nine videos to help encourage welcoming and inclusive clubs across Victoria.
